The short version
- The prices on our website are starting points. Your written quote, given after we measure, is your price.
- The estimate is free and there is no obligation to hire us.
- We stand behind our installation work for 2 years. See what's covered.
- We only text you about your estimate and your project. Reply STOP any time to opt out.
- Your information is handled as described in our privacy policy.
Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Third Coast Carpet Ltd. Co. ("Third Coast Carpet," "we" or "us"), an owner-operated carpet installation business serving Greater Houston, Texas. They apply when you use thirdcoastcarpet.com, request an estimate, call or text us, or hire us for carpet work. By using our website or our services, you agree to these terms.
If you hire us, your written quote or agreement for that job applies too. If it says something different from these terms, the written quote or agreement wins for that job.
Using our website
- Use the site and the estimate form honestly, and only for real carpet projects.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's security, send spam through our forms, or copy the site with automated tools.
- Prices, photos, timing and other details on the site are general information. They can change without notice and may not fit every home. We try to keep everything accurate, but mistakes can happen. If we find one, we'll correct it.
- Some parts of the site are private and only for the business owner. Please don't try to access them.
Estimates, prices and quotes
- Free, no obligation. We come to your home, measure, bring samples and give you one all-inclusive price. You decide whether to go ahead.
- "From" prices are starting points. Prices like "installed from $2.53/sq ft" depend on the carpet grade, pad and your rooms. Your written quote is your actual price.
- You pay for carpet ordered. Carpet comes on 12-foot-wide rolls, so the amount ordered can be more than the floor area. We show you how each room is measured and how seams are planned before anything is cut. How carpet is priced.
- Listed extras. Some work has its own price or minimum, such as rush scheduling, stairs, small jobs and repairs. These are listed on our pricing page and will appear on your quote.
- Hidden problems. We check what we can at your estimate, but the subfloor is only fully visible once the old carpet comes up. If we find damage, moisture or anything else that needs extra work, we'll show you, explain it and give you a price. We won't do extra paid work without your OK.
Scheduling and payment
- Your written quote sets the price, any deposit, and when payment is due. Please read it before you approve the job.
- We accept cash, check, Zelle and all major credit cards. We don't offer financing.
- Most installs happen within about a week of your estimate. Install dates depend on carpet availability and weather delays we can't control. If anything changes, we'll tell you as soon as we know.
- If you need to reschedule, call or text us as early as you can.
Your home and our work
- Please make sure an adult (18 or older) is home to let us in, and keep pets and children clear of the work area.
- Standard furniture moving is included. Please clear small items, electronics and anything fragile before install day.
- Tell us about anything we should know, such as known leaks, water damage, or items that need special care.
- We follow industry installation standards (CRI 105) and clean up when we're done, including hauling away your old carpet.
Warranty
Our installation work comes with a 2-year labor warranty. If something from our install comes loose, ripples or separates, we come back and fix it. The warranty page explains exactly what is and isn't covered and how to make a claim. The carpet and pad themselves may also have their own manufacturer warranties, which are separate from ours.
Calls and text messages
When you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you at that number about your estimate request, your appointment and your project.
- What we send: replies to your request, appointment scheduling and reminders, and project updates. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
- How often: it varies with your project, usually a few messages around your estimate and install.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Opting out: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help, or call (346) 220-2534.
- Not required: agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us. You can always ask us to call or email instead.
- Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
We never share your phone number or text consent with third parties for marketing. See the privacy policy for details.
Reviews, photos and content
- The words, design, logo and photos on this website belong to Third Coast Carpet (or are used with permission). Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking.
- Customer reviews shown on our site come from Google and belong to the people who wrote them. We show them as written.
- We may photograph finished work for our gallery. We only post photos of your home with your permission, and never with your name, address or other personal details.
Other services we use
We rely on trusted outside services to run the business: Cloudflare hosts the website, Web3Forms delivers the estimate form to our email, Google (Gmail) hosts our email, and Google Analytics and Google Ads measure and run our advertising. Each has its own terms and privacy policies. Our site also links to other websites, such as our Google reviews, and we're not responsible for their content.
Google API Services
This website does not ask visitors to sign in with Google or connect any of their accounts. We use Google APIs (such as the Google Ads API) only to manage and report on our own business accounts, through our internal tool Third Coast Carpet Ads Agent. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. If we add other services or APIs, they will be used the same way: only for running our business, and as described in our privacy policy.
Disclaimers and limits
We work hard to do every job right and to keep this website accurate and available. Still, the website is provided "as is," and we can't promise it will always be error-free or online.
To the extent the law allows, Third Coast Carpet is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost time or delays caused by events outside our control (for example severe weather, supplier delays or pre-existing problems in your home that weren't visible before the old carpet came up). For any claim about our work, our responsibility is limited to fixing the problem under our warranty or, if that isn't possible, the amount you paid for the affected work.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have that the law doesn't allow to be waived, including your rights under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
Texas law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If there's ever a problem, please contact us first. Most issues can be solved with a phone call. If we can't work it out, any dispute will be handled by the courts in Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Changes apply from that date forward and don't change a written quote or agreement you've already signed.
