Repair questions
Why does carpet ripple?
Usually it wasn't power-stretched at install, or the pad has broken down. Restretching fixes the first. A worn pad may need replacing.
Do I need leftover carpet for a patch?
It helps. If you don't have any, I can often take a piece from a closet. As a last resort, when the damage is a safety concern, like a hole someone could trip on or pad a pet could chew, I can patch it with the closest-matching carpet available. It fixes the hazard, but the patch will almost always be visible.
Do you repair carpet someone else installed?
Yes.
