What it is
Third Coast Carpet Ads Agent is a set of tools that the owner of Third Coast Carpet runs on their own computer, with the help of an AI assistant (Claude Code), to look after the company's Google Ads account. It connects to Google Ads through the official Google Ads API, using Google's secure sign-in (OAuth). It only works with Third Coast Carpet's own advertising account.
What it does
- Reads how our ads are performing: spend, clicks, leads and cost per lead, by campaign
- Reviews the search terms and keywords our ads appear for, to find wasted spend
- Builds new campaigns, ads, keywords and negative keywords for our carpet services
- Sets up and checks conversion tracking, so we know which ads lead to estimate requests
- Powers a private owner-only report page with the same numbers
Every change is shown to the owner first and only made after they approve it. New campaigns and ads are created paused, so nothing goes live or spends money until the owner turns it on in Google Ads.
Who uses it
Only the business owner. There are no other users, no customer accounts and no public sign-in. Website visitors and customers never connect a Google account to it.
The Google data it uses
It asks Google for one permission: "See, edit, create and delete your Google Ads accounts and data" (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords). It uses that permission only on Third Coast Carpet's own Google Ads account, to read the advertising data listed above and make the changes the owner approves.
- It does not access anyone else's Google account, email, files or personal information.
- It does not sell or share Google data, or use it to target or personalize ads to anyone.
- It does not use Google data to develop, improve or train AI models.
How the app accesses, uses, stores, protects and deletes Google data is explained in our privacy policy, and use of the app is covered by our terms of service:
- Privacy policy: https://thirdcoastcarpet.com/privacy-policy
- Terms of service: https://thirdcoastcarpet.com/terms
Removing access
The owner can remove the app's access to Google Ads at any time from Google Account permissions. Once removed, the app can no longer read or change anything.
