How carpet is priced
You pay for carpet ordered, not floor measured
Carpet comes on 12-foot-wide rolls, and every piece is cut 3 inches long so it can be stretched and tucked at the wall. A 10 × 10 room orders 12 ft × 10 ft 3 in, which is 123 sq ft, not 100. Showrooms do the same math. I just show it to you.

Carpet is the family trade. I started helping on jobs at 7 and was installing seriously by 12. In 2022 I opened Third Coast Carpet so homeowners could hire the installer directly instead of paying a showroom to send one.

Common questions
Why is my order bigger than my room?
Carpet is sold off 12-foot rolls, and each piece needs about 3 extra inches to stretch and tuck. You pay for the carpet that's ordered, and I show you exactly how it's measured.
Where will my seams go?
We decide together at the estimate. Seams stay out of doorways, don't run alongside big sunny windows, and land in low-traffic spots or under furniture where possible.
Do I need to move my furniture?
No. Standard furniture moving is included. Please clear small items, electronics and anything fragile before install day.
How soon can you install?
Most installs happen within about 7 days of your estimate. Need it faster for a move-in or water damage? Rush scheduling is a flat $100.
